Position Summary:
As a key member of Olsson's Facilities Engineering and Design Team, you will be at the forefront of engineering innovation, delivering comprehensive services for a variety of projects including commercial developments, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and more. Your role as a Mechanical Project Engineer will involve applying your extensive knowledge of engineering principles to a diverse range of assignments, making independent decisions on complex engineering challenges, and supervising team members to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed engineering tasks, including project design, cost estimation, and design calculations, leveraging your advanced expertise.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and budgetary constraints.
  • Independently address complex assignments, developing innovative techniques and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other teams within Olsson and guide team members on design tasks to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Work closely with project managers to execute design work, monitor progress, and address potential challenges.
  • Assist in defining project scope and schedule, and participate in client meetings to build strong relationships.
  • Oversee and mentor less experienced staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Maintain project and client information in the firm's project management system.

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Registration as a professional engineer with a minimum of six years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, along with a solid understanding of International Building Codes.
