Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer - Mechanical Engineer III to join our team at James Fisher Technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that projects are being executed in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that they are managed and controlled effectively.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure that projects are aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve project delivery and company performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design, with a strong background in project management and leadership.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of CAD software, design principles, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including ISO 9001 and NQA-1.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to customer sites and other locations as required.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines. They will be expected to work effectively in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
