Job Overview

Position: Employee Benefits Account Manager

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 plus benefits

The Employee Benefits Account Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from small groups to medium-sized enterprises. This role involves attending client meetings and open enrollment sessions alongside Producers, facilitating marketing efforts, managing enrollment changes, and implementing benefit plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with marketing representatives and underwriters.
  • Stay informed about the latest rating plans and programs from various carriers.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, producers, and internal team members.
  • Enhance technical knowledge of employee benefit coverage lines and associated rating structures.

This position requires regular interaction with Employee Benefits clients, addressing service requests, coordinating renewals, and collaborating with underwriters to secure coverage.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in health insurance and ancillary products.
  • Possession of a TN Life and Health Insurance License.
  • Experience in an insurance agency, TPA, medical practice, or insurance carrier is essential.
  • Preferred background in managing employee group benefits or resolving claims issues.
  • Experience in preparing RFPs and assisting in sales presentations.
  • Knowledge of Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, COBRA, ERISA, and DOL guidelines.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive support to clients regarding enrollments, product knowledge, and claims inquiries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products and familiarity with agency management and Ben-Admin systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster and maintain strong client relationships.
