Position Overview:
The Client Account Specialist is responsible for engaging and collaborating with FedEx Ground's internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient, precise, and compliant transactions with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the processing of entries, including the resolution of exceptions before and after arrival.
  • Prepare, analyze, and submit necessary documentation to CBP and PGAs.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with the client's front-line personnel.
  • Assist Account Administrators in managing account-related activities, including exception logs and specialized spreadsheets.
  • Conduct root cause analysis as directed by the Account Administrator.
  • Investigate and resolve customer billing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate post-entry activities on behalf of the client.
  • Oversee the entry verification process.
  • Distribute and manage departmental workload effectively.
  • Access external client systems as required.
  • Communicate with business partners through various channels, including written correspondence, phone calls, and emails.
  • Generate operational trend reports.
  • Keep business partners informed about the exception handling process.
  • Manage pre-alerts by receiving and responding as necessary according to customer standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of FedEx products and services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in brokerage, transportation, or customer service is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner) is essential.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers, internal staff, and management at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of managing a high volume of time-sensitive tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
