Position: Employee Benefits Account Manager

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 plus benefits

The Employee Benefits Account Manager will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships across various business sizes, specifically from small to medium-sized groups. This position involves attending client meetings and open enrollment sessions alongside Producers, as well as assisting with marketing initiatives, requests for proposals (RFPs), enrollment modifications, and the implementation of benefit plans.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing renewals and open enrollment processes.
  • Delivering presentations and managing daily service inquiries.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with marketing representatives and underwriters.
  • Staying informed about the latest rating plans and programs from various carriers.
  • Ensuring a positive rapport with clients, producers, and internal team members.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of employee benefit coverage options and their associated rating structures.

This role requires frequent interaction with Employee Benefits clients, addressing service requests, coordinating renewals, and collaborating with underwriters to secure coverage.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in health insurance and ancillary products.
  • Possession of a TN Life and Health Insurance License.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an insurance agency, third-party administrator, medical practice, or insurance carrier.
  • Preferred experience in managing employee group benefits, resolving claims issues, or overseeing billing and claims in a medical practice.
  • Experience in preparing RFPs for various coverage lines and assisting in sales presentations.
  • Knowledge of Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, COBRA, ERISA, and DOL guidelines.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive support to clients regarding enrollments, product knowledge, benefit inquiries, and claims issues.
  • Proficiency in maintaining relationships with insurance carrier representatives and managing client information across multiple systems.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft products and excellent communication abilities to foster positive client relationships.
