Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients both on-site and virtually to identify needs and propose strategic solutions.
- Strengthen existing relationships while cultivating new connections within the industry.
- Meet sales and profitability goals to enhance revenue and company growth.
- Conduct thorough analyses of current accounts and devise strategies to boost revenue.
- Identify new business opportunities within the assigned sector and collaborate with other sales resources for optimal coverage.

- Effectively present and discuss products and value-added services, managing complex proposal development in alignment with customer RFQ/RFP cycles.
- Maintain all assigned accounts and document all activities and customer interactions in designated software systems.
- Foster continuous communication with clients, ensuring satisfaction and robust business relationships.

- Oversee contract business to ensure compliance with agreements.
- Adhere to established sales and pricing guidelines.
- Monitor and provide feedback on the performance of sales associates supporting local corporate accounts.
- Actively participate in sales meetings, customer visits, product seminars, trade shows, and similar events.

- Collaborate with internal business partners to support sales efforts, including qualifying customer needs and providing administrative support.

- Stay informed about the steel industry to deliver the highest level of service and market knowledge to clients.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in consultative sales, focusing on value-based customer relationships in the steel, metal, or related industries.

- Technologically proficient, with experience in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Windows-based applications.

Skills and Abilities
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals in a competitive environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and innovative selling techniques.
- Experience in maintaining relationships with corporate-level and C-suite clients within complex regional and national accounts.

- Capable of preparing intricate proposals and securing multi-year contracts.
- Resilient in overcoming objections and navigating challenges.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to clients and all organizational levels.

- Strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Innovative problem solver with the capacity to gather and analyze information.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, accept responsibility, and follow through without close supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ten years of experience in flat rolled coated steel or related metal industry sales, emphasizing value-based customer relationships.

Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed.
- Ability to travel and work at external locations, with overnight travel up to 50%.
