Job Overview - Client Account Specialist

Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work arrangements.

Position Summary:
Acts as the liaison between various branches and the central office within a customer service environment. Responsible for reviewing, updating, and managing client accounts.

Safeguards the interests of the Firm, Financial Advisors (FAs), and clients by implementing collection protocols, adhering to policies and regulations, and monitoring account activities while delivering exceptional service.

Aids in the training and development of junior associates.

Tracks and analyzes reports related to account discrepancies, maintains precise records to comply with regulatory standards, and alerts FAs regarding client account actions.


Key Responsibilities:
Handles escalated inquiries and concerns related to accounts.
Collaborates with branch staff to resolve complex issues and requests.
Reviews all margin agreements to ensure compliance with required information.
Maintains and updates all customer account documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory and departmental guidelines.
Supports the training of less experienced team members, remaining available for their inquiries post-training.

Conducts daily analysis of cash and margin accounts; initiates and monitors necessary communications – including filing extensions and sending notifications.

Responds to inquiries regarding specific trading infractions.
Notifies supervisors or senior associates of potential issues or the status of high-risk accounts.
May undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:
Proficient in relevant software applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and email for document creation and editing.
Understanding of compliance issues, with an awareness of potential risks to the firm.

Skills in:
Effective verbal and written communication abilities to engage with all levels of management, colleagues, and external partners.
Handling a high volume of inquiries from Financial Advisors and associates while maintaining superior customer service standards.

Ability to:
Exhibit a professional demeanor while training team members on new tasks.
Navigating complex situations effectively.
Work autonomously and collaboratively with supervisors.
Manage stress related to deadlines, fluctuating workloads, and inquiries from clients and associates.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Licenses/Certifications:
No specific licenses required.
