As an Account Manager for Employee Benefits , your responsibilities will include overseeing group benefits accounts, nurturing client and carrier relationships, and ensuring high-quality customer service for all assigned accounts. Key duties will involve:
- Managing the renewal process for Employee Benefits, from marketing through to enrollment.
- Advising on employee benefit plan structures.
- Identifying and relaying sales opportunities to Brokers.
- Proactively consulting on the Affordable Care Act and compliance measures, ensuring timely communication with clients.
- Maintaining client files and records in line with HIPAA and agency protocols.
- Building and sustaining strong business relationships with clients, Benefits Carriers, Vendors, and other Business Partners while staying informed on relevant guidelines and policy updates.
- Keeping up-to-date with all lines of coverage and other products/resources available to clients.
- Holding a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Possessing 3 to 5 years of experience in Employee Benefits.
- Demonstrating extensive knowledge of the employer-sponsored health and welfare benefits landscape.
- Having at least 2 years of experience in Account Management.
- Exhibiting strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and delivering results efficiently under pressure.
- Current Tennessee Insurance Licensure is required.
- Familiarity with Agency Management Software systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills.
