As an Account Manager for Employee Benefits , your role will involve overseeing group benefits accounts, fostering relationships with clients and carriers, and ensuring high-quality customer service for all assigned accounts. Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing the Employee Benefit renewal process, from marketing strategies to enrollment facilitation.
  • Advising on employee benefit plan configurations.
  • Identifying and relaying sales opportunities to Brokers.
  • Proactively advising on the Affordable Care Act and compliance strategies, ensuring timely communication with clients.
  • Maintaining client documentation in accordance with HIPAA and agency protocols.
  • Building and sustaining strong professional relationships with clients, Benefits Carriers, Vendors, and other Business Partners while staying informed on relevant guidelines and policy updates.
  • Keeping up-to-date knowledge of all coverage lines and additional products/resources available to clients.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Employee Benefits.
  • Extensive understanding of the employer-sponsored health and welfare benefits landscape.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Account Management is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and perform efficiently under pressure.
  • Current Tennessee Insurance Licensure.
  • Familiarity with Agency Management Software systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly strong Excel capabilities.
