Position Overview:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and oversight of all aspects required to complete construction projects on schedule, within financial constraints, and to the specified quality standards. The PM acts as a leader and serves as the primary communication link among project team members, advocating for both business interests and client needs while exemplifying the traits of a mid-level leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with HITT's safety standards, maintaining necessary documentation.
  • Develop and oversee project budgets for all assigned initiatives.
  • Collaborate on pre-construction RFP packages.
  • Facilitate project meetings, establish milestones, and prepare monthly reports for owners.
  • Implement job processes including RFIs, submittals, and payment applications, along with approving payment requests and negotiating subcontract changes.
  • Manage project scheduling, quality control, and overall logistics.
  • Efficiently handle the project closeout process.
  • Engage with new and existing clients to understand their needs and explain how our services can fulfill those needs.
  • Supervise support roles such as assistant project managers, administrative staff, MEP managers, and safety team members.
  • Work closely with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
  • Additional work experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, particularly with a general contractor.
  • Prior experience in project management with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in sector-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project-related documents.
  • Skilled in organizing resources—people, tools, and time—to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
  • Awareness of current market conditions, including pricing trends.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and knowledge of the project, facilitating decision-making processes.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the construction industry.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proactive in seeking responsibilities and demonstrating integrity aligned with HITT's core values.

Compensation: In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 to $140,000.00. Compensation may vary in other locations. HITT Contracting offers a comprehensive benefits package, including performance-based bonuses, premium health care coverage, employer-matched 401(k), wellness reimbursement, paid holidays, and other voluntary benefits.
