Position Overview:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the comprehensive management and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet the specified quality standards. The PM plays a pivotal role in leading the project team and acts as the primary contact for all project-related matters, demonstrating the qualities of a mid-level leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold HITT's safety standards and ensure all necessary documentation is maintained.
  • Develop and oversee project budgets for all assigned initiatives.
  • Collaborate on the creation of pre-construction RFP packages.
  • Facilitate project meetings, establish milestones, and prepare monthly reports for stakeholders.
  • Implement job processes, including RFIs, submittals, and pay applications, while managing approvals and negotiations.
  • Conduct project scheduling and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Efficiently manage the project closeout process.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and explain how our services can fulfill those requirements.
  • Supervise assistant operations roles, including assistant project managers and administrative staff.
  • Collaborate closely with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project duration.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma is required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is preferred.
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, particularly with a general contractor.
  • Proven experience in project management, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in sector-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage resources effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current market trends and pricing conventions.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to facilitate decision-making processes.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
