Key Responsibilities of the Director of Memory Care Services:

This role oversees the community's memory care program, ensuring alignment with resident needs, state regulations, and Bonaventure Senior Living's policies to deliver outstanding care.

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule care staff members.
  • Coordinate and oversee all services related to resident care needs through individualized service plans.
  • Update care and services as necessary, maintaining communication logs and service plans; engage with residents and families to review service plans and associated charges.
  • Provide hands-on training and support to medication aides and caregiving staff.
  • Notify the Registered Nurse Consultant of any changes in resident conditions.
  • Conduct regular audits of the medication administration program to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Address resident and family concerns promptly and appropriately.
  • Exhibit leadership and professionalism to staff, residents, and family members.
  • The Director of Memory Care Services may also be referred to as a Healthcare Coordinator, Executive Director, or Assisted Living Director in other organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess or obtain relevant state certifications and licenses.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with a culturally diverse staff and resident population.
  • Demonstrated leadership, respect, and maturity in interactions with team members, residents, and their families.
  • Proven experience in supervising staff and providing training and support.
  • Knowledge of state regulations and adherence to company policies and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening is mandatory.

Our state-of-the-art senior living community offers a range of services including assisted living, residential care, memory care, and independent living. We also provide in-home health care to our residents. We are not a nursing home.
