Position Overview:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and executing all aspects necessary to complete construction projects on schedule, within financial constraints, and to the specified quality standards. The PM acts as the primary leader for the construction initiative and serves as the key point of contact among project stakeholders, ensuring alignment with both business and client interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with HITT's safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Develop and manage the financial plan for all assigned projects.
  • Collaborate on the preparation of pre-construction proposal packages.
  • Facilitate project meetings, establish milestones, and generate monthly reports for stakeholders.
  • Implement job processes such as Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and payment applications, including the approval of payment requests and negotiation of subcontractor change orders.
  • Oversee project scheduling, enforce quality control measures, and coordinate overall project logistics.
  • Efficiently manage the project closeout process.
  • Engage with both new and existing clients to assess their needs and explain how our services can meet those needs.
  • Supervise supporting roles such as assistant project managers, administrative staff, MEP managers, and safety personnel.
  • Work closely with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma is required; a four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or business is preferred.
  • Additional relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, particularly with a general contracting firm.
  • Prior experience in a project management capacity, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in sector-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.
  • Expertise in interpreting construction drawings and project-related documentation.
  • Ability to effectively organize resources, including personnel, tools, and time, to meet strict deadlines.
  • Awareness of current market trends and pricing structures.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Proactive in seeking responsibilities and opportunities for self-improvement.
  • Commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies.
  • Skilled in building collaborative relationships with diverse teams.

In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the base salary range for this position is:

$100,000 - $140,000.00
