Position Overview:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for orchestrating all aspects of the construction project, ensuring it is completed on schedule, within financial constraints, and meets the specified quality standards. The PM acts as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, advocating for both the business and client interests while exemplifying the qualities of a mid-level leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold HITT's safety standards by ensuring all necessary documentation is maintained.
  • Develop and oversee the project budget for assigned initiatives.
  • Collaborate on the creation of pre-construction RFP packages.
  • Facilitate project meetings, establish milestones, and prepare monthly reports for stakeholders.
  • Implement job processes including RFIs, submittals, and payment applications, while managing approvals and subcontractor negotiations.
  • Oversee project scheduling, quality control, and logistics throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Efficiently manage the project closeout process.
  • Engage with both new and existing clients to understand their needs and explain how our services can fulfill those requirements.
  • Supervise support roles such as assistant project managers and safety team members.
  • Work closely with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project duration.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma is required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is preferred.
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, particularly with a general contractor.
  • Proven experience in project management, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in construction-related software, including Microsoft Office Suite, ProCore, and BlueBeam.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage resources effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Awareness of current market trends and pricing conventions.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to facilitate decision-making processes.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for the construction industry.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Initiative and a willingness to take on responsibilities.
  • Commitment to integrity and continuous self-improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies.
