Position Overview:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. The PM acts as the primary leader and key liaison among project stakeholders, advocating for both business interests and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with HITT's safety standards and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Develop and oversee project budgets for all assigned initiatives.
  • Collaborate on the creation of pre-construction Request for Proposal (RFP) packages.
  • Facilitate project meetings, establish milestones, and prepare monthly reports for owners.
  • Implement job processes including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and payment applications, while managing subcontractor change orders.
  • Conduct project scheduling, uphold quality control, and manage overall project logistics.
  • Efficiently handle the project closeout process.
  • Engage with new and existing clients to understand their needs and explain how our services can meet those needs.
  • Supervise support roles such as assistant project managers, administrative staff, and safety team members.
  • Work closely with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is preferred.
  • Additional work experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, particularly with a general contractor.
  • Prior experience in project management with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in sector-specific software, including Microsoft Office Suite, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Capability to organize resources effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Awareness of current market conditions and pricing trends.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Commitment to continuous self-improvement and professional development.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Respectful and punctual, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

Compensation: In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000. HITT Contracting offers a competitive benefits package, including performance-based bonuses, comprehensive health coverage, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
