Position Summary:


In this role, you will collaborate with diverse global teams to drive the execution of localization strategies for the US market. Your primary goal will be to foster a culture of excellence that encourages collaboration and growth. You will work closely with our dedicated team members and report directly to the VP of Globalization.


Your responsibilities will include collaborating with Operational Managers, Quality Managers, Vendor Managers, and Project Managers who oversee project delivery for our clients. Ensuring high quality, reliability, consistency, and cost-effectiveness will be your key objectives. You will identify improvement opportunities, support your team, and deliver exceptional services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Overseeing localization projects from inception to completion, working closely with internal localization teams, including Project Managers, TADs, Designers, and Quality Managers.
  • Creating and managing detailed project plans for localization initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Localization Operations Managers and Quality Managers to develop and implement efficient project workflows.
  • Developing methodologies, tools, and checklists to enhance project management processes.
  • Identifying and resolving localization challenges, whether they are system or product-related, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Assigning and monitoring team members' tasks as necessary.
  • Ensuring timely and high-quality project deliveries, maintaining professionalism in client interactions.
  • Working alongside the sales team to expand project scopes and manage account relationships effectively.

Leadership:

  • Motivating team members to align with company and project goals.
  • Encouraging innovation and automation within the team.
  • Building team capacity through recruitment and collaboration with the P&C team.
  • Leading project kick-off meetings, regular updates, and post-mortem discussions.
  • Staying informed about localization trends and participating in training opportunities.
  • Designing and implementing training programs to enhance team skills.
  • Providing project-specific training to Project Managers, TADs, and Quality Enhancement teams.
  • Training on workflows, time management, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control.
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to enhance asset quality and production processes.
  • Ensuring team compliance with established standards and practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in content localization management.
  • BA/BS degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience in localization, internationalization, project management, or program management.
  • In-depth knowledge of translation technologies, including translation memories and management systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different time zones and cultures.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of client expectations within the localization industry.
  • Experience working with large corporations in a client-facing capacity.
  • Vendor management experience with a track record of setting expectations and holding vendors accountable to KPIs.
