We are in search of a seasoned and proactive Vice President of Consultant Partnerships to spearhead our initiatives in establishing and nurturing strategic alliances with healthcare benefit brokers and consultants. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in the healthcare benefits sector, outstanding relationship management capabilities, and a profound comprehension of the benefits consulting arena. This position will oversee a team of consultant relations experts and will propel initiatives aimed at amplifying our market visibility and fortifying our partnerships.

In this capacity, you will serve as a crucial conduit and liaison between the consultant community and Maven, ensuring that insights and feedback from our partners directly shape our strategies and initiatives. This role necessitates close collaboration with our Sales, Client Success, and Marketing divisions to synchronize partnership efforts with overarching business objectives. The Vice President will play a pivotal role in identifying new prospects, addressing challenges, and enhancing the value we deliver to our partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Partnership Development:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with key leaders in healthcare practices and consulting firms.
    • Formulate and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to broaden the organization's market influence.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align partnership initiatives with business goals.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Guide, mentor, and develop a team of consultant relations professionals.
    • Promote a high-performance culture, ensuring team members are equipped with the necessary skills and resources.
    • Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the team, conducting regular assessments and providing constructive feedback.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Act as the primary contact for all consultant relations.
    • Maintain robust, ongoing relationships with existing partners while cultivating new connections to expand our network.
    • Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and training sessions with partners to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
  • Market Insights and Analysis:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
    • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to guide product development, marketing strategies, and sales approaches.
    • Monitor partner performance and devise strategies to optimize collaboration and outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure cohesive partnership initiatives.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to support partnership objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team focused on consultant relations and partnerships.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of partnership initiatives.
    • Regularly report on partnership activities, outcomes, and opportunities to senior leadership.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to refine and enhance partnership strategies and tactics.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the healthcare benefits sector, with significant exposure to benefits consulting.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing strategic partnerships with healthcare benefits brokers and consultants.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, focused on driving business growth and value.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to support partnership initiatives.
