About the Position:

Our Business Development team is enthusiastic about introducing new publishers to our innovative and valuable products that enhance engagement and foster community growth on their platforms. We pride ourselves on being a collaborative and dynamic team, dedicated to empowering publishers to expand their businesses. You will play a key role in educating, consulting, and prospecting new publishers. Your exceptional communication abilities will enable you to effectively connect with publishers and swiftly build trust and rapport.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and nurture professional relationships with top-tier media publishers globally to promote OpenWeb's community engagement software platform and enhance partner revenue.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle for prospective deals, from initial outreach to product demonstrations and contract finalization. We encourage in-person meetings with potential partners and invite them to our office.
  • Identify target markets and collaborate with sales operations on lead generation strategies and documentation of interactions in Salesforce.
  • Work alongside internal Product, Partner Management, and Monetization teams to create and present new revenue opportunities and customized solutions to potential partners.
  • Contribute to the definition of Business Development team processes, objectives, and KPIs as our growing startup scales.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in SaaS, ad-tech, or publisher sales with a history of surpassing annual business development revenue goals.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales environments and establish high-level business relationships with senior executives to finalize partnership agreements.
  • Prior experience in selling technology solutions to publishers or working within a publishing environment is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of online publishing, digital media, advertising technologies, and SaaS business models is essential.
  • Solution-oriented mindset and approach to relationship management—focused on addressing significant industry challenges with technical solutions.
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented professional with a collaborative spirit—our Business Development team works closely together to achieve collective success.
Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation package for the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships role includes an annual salary range of $150,000-$170,000, based on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for quarterly commissions, equity, and comprehensive benefits, including:
