Position Overview:
We are in search of a proactive and results-driven Strategic Account Executive to manage our current retail and distributor partnerships while pursuing new business ventures in the wild bird seed and poultry feed markets.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings and excel in cultivating robust customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
    Develop and maintain relationships with existing retail and distributor accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Formulate and execute annual account/sales plans for major accounts in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Identify sales opportunities, analyze market dynamics, and remain informed about competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
  • Design account-specific strategies to enhance sales growth, expand market share, and surpass revenue targets.
  • Conduct regular visits within the assigned territory to engage with current and prospective customers, either in person or via phone.
  • Travel may be required up to 35% of the time.
  • Present tailored ideas for new products or programs that meet specific customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive execution of sales objectives and plans.
  • Implement pricing adjustments as dictated by market conditions.
  • Manage a diverse product range, overseeing inventory levels to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment.

Territory Management and Customer Relationships:
  • Establish and nurture strong, enduring customer relationships by understanding their needs and partnering with them.
  • Enhance existing relationships and develop new ones within the assigned channel.
  • Oversee relationships and agreements with brokers and distributors.
  • Work alongside inside sales representatives to maintain up-to-date account activities and materials.
  • Monitor accounts receivable for the customer list, addressing any discrepancies or late payments.
  • Estimate delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules.
  • Continuously seek to expand the customer base and identify new business opportunities to increase market penetration.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in retail sales or account management, ideally within the seed or grain sales, wild bird seed, or poultry feed sectors.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • A proven history of success in national account management, achieving revenue growth, and fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Outstanding negotiation, sales, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and capable of learning internal ERP systems.
