Introduction:

We are in search of a motivated and results-driven Strategic National Account Executive to manage our current retail and distributor partnerships while exploring new business avenues within the wild bird seed and poultry feed markets. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of our offerings and excel in cultivating robust customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Implementation:

Develop and maintain key account relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service. Formulate and execute annual sales plans tailored to each major account, aligning with the company's strategic goals. Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, analyze market dynamics, and monitor competitor actions to refine sales tactics. Create account-specific strategies aimed at driving sales growth, enhancing market presence, and surpassing revenue expectations. Conduct regular territory visits to engage with both existing and potential customers, dedicating up to 35% of time to on-site interactions. Propose innovative product ideas and programs customized to meet specific customer requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive execution of sales objectives and strategies. Adjust customer pricing in response to fluctuations in grain markets. Oversee a diverse product range, managing inventory levels to guarantee product availability and timely order fulfillment.

Territory Management and Client Relations:

Cultivate and strengthen enduring customer relationships by understanding their needs and collaborating effectively. Expand existing partnerships and establish new connections within the assigned market segment. Manage relationships and agreements with brokers and distributors. Coordinate with inside sales teams to keep account-related activities and materials current. Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records, addressing any discrepancies or payment delays. Provide estimated delivery dates to customers based on production and logistics knowledge. Continuously seek to broaden the customer base and uncover new business prospects to enhance market penetration.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in retail sales or account management, ideally within the seed or grain sales, wild bird seed, or poultry feed sectors. A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A proven history of success in national account management, achieving revenue growth, and nurturing strong customer relationships. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building and maintaining diverse stakeholder relationships. A results-oriented approach with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance targets. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively. Strong negotiation, sales, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in financial selling techniques and adept at forging business partnerships that facilitate sales closure. Excellent time management skills to juggle various responsibilities efficiently. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and capable of learning internal ERP systems.
