Compensation Overview:
Salary Range: $79,000 - $87,570
Anticipated Cost of Living Adjustment: $28,000
Total Compensation Range: $108,000 - $116,000 (Salary + COLA)

Position Summary:

The Project Engineer (PE) plays a crucial role in overseeing on-site project administration and managing the office engineering team along with the jobsite administrator. The PE is accountable for project financials, planning, scheduling, and supervising personnel to achieve project objectives.

This role demands exceptional attention to detail and adeptness in utilizing project management tools and software. The Project Engineer collaborates with stakeholders at all levels and is tasked with negotiating with owners, suppliers, and trade partners to resolve disputes and manage project changes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly owner pay applications by gathering necessary data.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts between the company and trade partners.
  • Support field supervisors in interpreting drawings, specifications, and RFIs.
  • Assist in developing and managing project cost control and labor recap.
  • Process and estimate potential change orders and information requests.
  • Contribute to the development and management of the project schedule.
  • Assist with engineering details and special design tasks.
  • Monitor and report on project progress.
  • Facilitate timely acquisition of materials and equipment.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with owners, architects, and contractors.
  • Participate in jobsite safety meetings and audits.
  • Support quality control initiatives and inspections.
  • Mentor and manage office engineers and jobsite administrators.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management is required. Candidates should have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in large commercial construction projects and possess a valid driver's license. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, along with experience in Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite is essential.


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous internships in the construction industry are advantageous.
