Key Responsibilities of the Site Construction Manager

Project Management

Ensure a safe and accident-free job site at all times.
Oversee all personnel on-site, including LCS staff and subcontractors.
Coordinate resources to ensure project compliance with plans and specifications.
Collaborate with Project Managers to review and approve submittals and documentation from subcontractors and suppliers.
Work with the Project Manager and subcontractors to address needs and resolve conflicts proactively.
Uphold LCS quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Understand and achieve specific project objectives.
Deliver a high-quality project while managing costs effectively.
Coordinate necessary inspections with local authorities.
Possess the ability to interpret blueprints.
Maintain a clean and organized job site.

Additional Responsibilities

Assist in selecting manpower, equipment, and construction methods, providing hands-on support as needed.
Support Project Managers in obtaining bids and managing subcontractors and equipment.
Help with scheduling, estimating, and other construction-related tasks as required.

Safety Management

Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Train and enforce compliance with all safety regulations, including federal and state standards.
Conduct weekly safety meetings on-site.
Maintain a continuous safety program in line with LCS standards.
Be responsible for all on-site safety requirements.
Familiarize yourself with the LCS Safety Manual and Program.

Administrative Duties

Communicate effectively through various channels, including phone and email.
Keep project status updated in project management software.
Maintain a daily log of job site activities.
Identify and complete job progress and punch list items.
Review project outcomes with the Project Manager and assist in preparing closeout documents.

Time Management

Plan and execute daily work activities efficiently.
Maintain the construction schedule throughout the project.
Complete projects within the designated timeframe.
Manage multiple tasks and competing demands effectively.

Mathematical and Budgeting Skills

Ability to perform calculations and present numerical data effectively.

Analytical Skills

Problem-solving capabilities for day-to-day operations.
Identify and address deficient work promptly.
Communicate construction progress conflicts to the project team for resolution.
Anticipate and manage potential conflicts with subcontractors.

Relationship Management

Foster positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
Handle challenging client situations with professionalism.
Respond promptly to client needs.
Establish a cooperative working relationship with all project stakeholders.

Leadership Qualities

Promote team morale and resolve conflicts constructively.
Provide effective leadership for the project team.

The Site Construction Manager will report directly to the Project Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent role is required.
Experience with technical and complex construction projects is preferred.
Commercial or industrial construction experience is essential.

Education

A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, or Engineering is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software is necessary.
