Position Summary:

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships is tasked with spearheading the growth and strategic direction of Precision Pipeline LLC's business initiatives. As a key player in the organization, this role is pivotal in shaping the future of the company, which is currently backed by MPE Partners, a private equity firm known for its expertise in lower middle market investments.

This position entails leading the identification and pursuit of new business ventures while acting as a specialist in utility services. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President will oversee a dedicated team of executives and consultants, ensuring the company is represented at significant industry gatherings. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, innovation, and data-driven decision-making to enhance market share and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement detailed business development strategies that align with the company's objectives.
  • Identify and target high-potential business opportunities within the utility services sector.
  • Foster and sustain relationships with senior executives at major client organizations and strategic partners.
  • Establish performance metrics and evaluate business development outcomes against these benchmarks.
  • Utilize analytics to monitor results and provide insights to the management team.
  • Lead the business development team, offering guidance and setting performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with Presidents of portfolio companies to ensure cohesive business development efforts.
  • Examine market trends and competitor actions to inform strategic choices.
  • Represent the organization at key industry events and conferences.
  • Manage the business development budget effectively.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the CRM system.
  • Deliver regular updates and forecasts to senior leadership regarding business development activities and opportunities.
  • Encourage innovation in business development practices and explore new revenue channels.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; an MBA is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in business development or sales, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • A proven history of driving substantial revenue growth and securing significant contracts.
  • A robust network of industry contacts and relationships.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A deep understanding of the utility services sector and its market dynamics.
  • Experience in managing complex contract negotiations and partnership agreements.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
