Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth for our Columbus office. This pivotal role will report directly to the CEO and is integral to driving growth and cultivating a positive organizational culture within the firm. The successful candidate will utilize their extensive experience to position PRIME AE as the leading consulting partner for significant clients across Ohio and neighboring regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aimed at achieving ambitious growth targets and securing new project awards.
  2. Formulate and execute client engagement strategies to identify and capture new revenue opportunities from major clients.
  3. Enhance competitive positioning in the procurement landscape to secure new contracts effectively.
  4. Maximize profitability from existing contracts while ensuring ongoing project work within the Federal sector.
  5. Utilize an account management framework to deepen client relationships and understand their evolving needs.
  6. Collaborate with operational teams to align resources necessary for client engagement and project execution.
  7. Stay informed on industry trends and prioritize efforts towards high-potential projects and programs.
  8. Report business development progress, metrics, and achievements to the executive leadership team.
  9. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting Federal clients and their budgetary allocations.
  10. Engage with management on risk assessments related to proposal pursuits.
  11. Identify and explore new market segments for expansion and develop strategic initiatives for prospective projects.
  12. Foster partnerships with potential collaborators and joint venture entities.
  13. Oversee office culture and cohesion, ensuring a supportive environment through organized events and activities.
  14. Manage operational aspects of the Columbus office, including facilities and overhead accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 15+ years of experience in business development within the engineering or architecture sectors.

  • Proven track record in identifying and securing work within the architecture and engineering industry.
  • Experience in managing comprehensive business development functions, including client acquisition and relationship management.
  • Strong network of decision-makers within the industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives.
  • Results-driven with a strategic mindset, capable of translating strategies into actionable plans.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
