About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Computing Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Public Sector team, you will be responsible for qualifying and generating leads, prospecting for new customers, and developing and executing sales campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand customer pain points, gather technical requirements, and correlate business value to customer needs
  • Generate interest and provide vision of the portfolio of AWS solutions to potential customers using written reports/documents and verbal presentations
  • Understand existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing and update their knowledge about new services by demonstrating that they can learn and be curious
  • Achieve monthly qualification goals and share them verbally and in written format
  • Update and maintain customer information within Salesforce.com to include detailed call notes that illustrate a firm understanding of the opportunity with clearly-defined next steps
  • Present a high level, technical solution to diverse audiences which include AWS colleagues, prospects, and customers relevant to target industry or market
  • Conduct research to stay informed, learn about existing markets, and grow knowledge about new ones

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 1+ year(s) of relevant Business to Business (B2B) or Business to Government (B2G) IT sales and prospecting experience via outbound campaigns
  • Advanced communication and writing skills
  • Experience selling-to or supporting State and Local Government and Higher Education customers and/or partners
  • Experience using Salesforce.com or a similar CRM tool and Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Self-starter with highly developed interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Results-oriented and prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
