Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for creating and building relationships with customers and prospects, managing the successful completion of assigned projects, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Represent McCoy-Rockford products and services to general contractors, end users, and other outside entities to influence specification and product selection.
  • Business Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and new customers, general contractors, and end users; identify potential leads and sales prospects.
  • Project Management: Understand customer's flooring requirements; review job site conditions and conduct field survey; determine resource requirements for project; estimate time, materials and personnel costs; create proposals.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop accurate sales projections and consistently meet and/or exceed sales goals and profit margins.
  • Project Execution: Manage each project against the established project budget; communicate project status with customer; ensure all issues or change order requests are appropriately documented and addressed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Ensure all work is complete, invoiced, and documented; participate in team meetings and training; complete all reporting requirements on a timely basis.

Requirements:

  • Work Experience: 3+ years' experience in sales, account management, or project management.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with some college required.
  • Skills: Highly organized and self-motivated; able to work independently and balance competing priorities; strong people skills with excellent listening, oral and written communication skills; good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills; basic mathematical aptitude; good negotiating skills; able to read and interpret drawings.
