Role Summary:

The Vice President, Director of Media Analytics will be a pivotal figure within the Advanced Analytics & Insights (AAI) department, specifically leading the Decision Sciences team. This role is essential in navigating the complex landscape of advertising technology, utilizing both digital and traditional analytics to tackle intricate research and measurement challenges for our esteemed client brands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients to clarify and address their critical business inquiries, providing insights on optimizing data utilization related to media and marketing investments for enhanced business outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous, data-driven decision-making that integrates consumer analytics into media and marketing investment strategies.
  • Offer expert guidance in the design and recommendation of suitable analytical methodologies to tackle significant client inquiries.
  • Oversee the development of measurement frameworks and establish media KPIs aligned with overarching business goals.
  • Enhance the visibility of Data and Analytics by showcasing exemplary client projects and articulating the narrative behind the data, emphasizing its significance and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate closely with internal client teams to ensure the successful execution of diverse client and project deliverables.
  • Act as the primary liaison for brand teams on campaign and brand measurement research initiatives.
  • Work in tandem with investment and planning teams to facilitate data-driven marketing investment decisions.
  • Consult with client media teams to ensure alignment with strategic measurement and optimization plans.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while steering strategic initiatives and the vision for the department.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights.
  • Over 10 years of experience in media, analytics, marketing research, consumer insights, business consulting, or digital advertising analytics.
  • A minimum of 7 years in a managerial role with increasing responsibilities.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, leadership, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong foundation in both traditional and digital media advertising effectiveness methodologies, including ROI analysis.
  • Familiarity with the media research measurement vendor landscape and the ability to assess new capabilities.
  • Experience with competitive reporting systems and an understanding of the technology marketplace.
  • A collaborative team player with a proven track record of effective teamwork.
  • Proficiency in statistical software packages (SAS, R, Python) is advantageous.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, GoodData, or Datorama.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
