Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Local Media Strategy is responsible for guiding the development and implementation of local media tactical plans for designated clients. This role demands a blend of experience, insight, and creativity to inspire innovative solutions that meet the needs of clients, agencies, and teams while overseeing the team's deliverables and growth.

You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Local Investment.

This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring three days of in-office attendance each week. If selected for an interview, the recruiter will provide additional details, including any necessary accommodations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture strong client relationships as a vital local strategic partner.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' business goals, challenges, and opportunities, including awareness of emerging competitive dynamics.
  • Gain insights into clients' customers' preferences and behaviors throughout the entire customer journey.
  • Direct the tactical approach in alignment with clients' omni-channel marketing strategies.
  • Oversee the creation and management of local media tactical plans and budgets.
  • Deliver strategic recommendations to account services and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Engage with external partners to introduce innovative local opportunities for clients.
  • Formulate points of view on critical business issues and trends in the local market.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and client workshops.
  • Participate in new business presentations.
  • Support the Associate Director in mentoring junior team members.
  • Provide performance feedback to team members and make staffing recommendations.
  • Serve as a resource for resolving complex challenges.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Promote multiculturalism and diversity inclusion in all tactical plans.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in media planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in both offline and online media.
  • Strong knowledge of local media landscapes.
  • Proven expertise in local strategic and tactical planning.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to clients and maintain internal documentation.
  • Strong management and motivational capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Nielsen, Kantar Software, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, MediaOcean, and Google Analytics.
