POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Property Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the operational aspects of property management. This position is responsible for a variety of clerical tasks, including managing phone communications, welcoming tenants and visitors, document preparation, and maintaining organized records. The Assistant Property Administrator reports directly to the Property Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities may encompass, but are not limited to, assisting the Property Manager in the following areas:

  • Facilitating the eviction process as necessary, with prior approval from the main office.
  • Collecting and documenting rental payments while addressing any delinquencies.
  • Assisting in drafting specifications and soliciting bids from contractors for necessary maintenance and repairs, subject to main office approval.
  • Preparing and maintaining records, files, and any other reports required by the main office or relevant state agencies.
  • Coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs efficiently.
  • Conducting annual inspections of units or more frequent evaluations as required, and assisting third-party inspectors as needed.
  • Addressing tenant complaints and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Managing all clerical responsibilities associated with this role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years in an administrative role.
  • Experience with project-based Section 8 or tax credit programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software such as Real Page or YARDI.
  • Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for actions.
  • Dependable and trustworthy character.
  • Effective time management skills to organize and complete tasks within deadlines.
  • Capacity to maintain a consistent work pace while delivering quality results.

Compensation details: $25-$30 Hourly Wage
