POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Property Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the management of the property, which includes handling phone inquiries, welcoming tenants and visitors, as well as managing documentation and report preparation. This role directly reports to the Property Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities may encompass, but are not limited to, assisting the Property Manager in the following areas:

  • Initiating and executing the eviction process when deemed necessary and authorized by the main office.
  • Collecting and documenting rental payments while addressing any delinquencies.
  • Aiding in the formulation of specifications and soliciting bids from contractors for necessary work, as approved by the main office.
  • Organizing and maintaining records and files, along with any additional reports required by the main office or state agencies.
  • Coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs efficiently.
  • Conducting annual unit inspections or more frequent assessments as needed, and assisting state agencies or third parties with required evaluations.
  • Addressing tenant complaints and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Managing all clerical tasks associated with this role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years in an administrative role
  • Experience with Project-based Section 8 or tax credit programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Real Page, YARDI, or other property management software is essential
  • Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for actions
  • Dependable and trustworthy character
  • Capacity to effectively manage time and complete tasks within deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a consistent pace while delivering quality work
