Sales Account Manager

At Research Group Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our OEM customers and distributors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of our group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits.
- Obtain specifications and approvals at engineering firms, major accounts, and/or distributors to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace, providing regular and/or monthly reports.
- Participate in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies to meet position objectives.
- Assist divisions in planning strategy to provide products and services required for assigned accounts.
- Support cross-divisional and other group products with proper referral.
- Provide product training at the distributor and customer levels.
- Motivate and provide sales direction to distributors.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred; a Technical or Engineering degree is ideal.
- 2+ years of Account Management, Sales, Business Development, and/or Applications Engineering experience.
- Ability to maintain relationships while developing new contacts within multiple clients.
- Ability to sell direct to the end user; distributor management is a plus.
- A working experience with technical industrial products is required.
- Must have a proven track record of performing or exceeding performance levels.
