Job Overview

The role of the Specialist in Product Strategy is pivotal in identifying emerging partnerships, industry developments, competitive intelligence, and more. This position is part of a dynamic team tasked with pinpointing significant growth prospects that should be assessed as potential solutions for Apex Exchange.

As a vital contributor to the Product Strategy & Solutions team, you will assist the Solutions Team in various facets of business planning and solution development. Collaboration with stakeholders across Media Solutions, Investment, Activation, and Insights will be essential to uncover potential gaps or client challenges that can be addressed through innovative products and partnerships. Regular engagement with vendors in the advertising sector will ensure you remain informed about the latest capabilities across various channels and industry trends.

This role also involves sharing critical insights, recommendations, and updates with the executive leadership team.

You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Product Strategy & Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously refine and enhance our analysis of market spending, adoption of new formats or solutions, and significant mergers and acquisitions.
  • Support product steering efforts by monitoring the convergence of supply and solutions across video, audio, display, social, and out-of-home media.
  • Collaborate with the Research & Insights Team to investigate consumer trends that inform our supply packages and marketing strategies.
  • Regularly review go-to-market materials, updating them with the latest research and insights from the Research & Insights team.
  • Foster strong interdepartmental relationships and adapt processes to promote product collaboration across media channels.
  • Work alongside the Activation Team to analyze RFPs and track consistent trends in won and lost opportunities.
  • Assist in creating internal resource documents and process documentation for new solutions.
  • Contribute to reporting and insights that guide team and business structure decisions.
  • Participate in team-wide meetings, noting market and client feedback on solutions.
  • Assist in developing product presentations for team-wide status updates.
  • Evaluate external advertising technology companies, assessing how their capabilities may enhance our solutions.
  • When applicable, support quarterly business reviews with product-level reporting and data interpretation to suggest product optimizations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in media within an analytical or data-driven capacity.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study is preferred.
  • Proficiency in systems and software (Salesforce, PowerPoint, automation tools, data visualization tools, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of data and systems across a variety of research tools.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions both internally and externally with industry representatives.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to interpret data and identify key themes.
