Position Overview:

The Product Planning & Performance Team at Amex GBT is focused on enhancing the synergy between product development, technology, and business strategies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Backlog Management: Manage the backlog intake process, ensuring timely assessment of opportunities and long-term resource planning.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal and external partners, including Product, Tech, Analytics, and Finance teams, to evaluate business impacts and resource needs.
  • Implement Operational Best Practices: Define and integrate product operations best practices, ensuring visibility into project health and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience in roles such as Product Operations Manager, Business Operations Manager, Program Manager, or Product Manager.
  • Strong expertise in business and financial analysis.
  • Process Design and Implementation: Proven track record in creating and executing effective planning processes and operational systems.
  • Outcome-Focused Program Development: Ability to design and manage programs that yield measurable results aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Understanding of Development Lifecycles: In-depth knowledge of product and technology development lifecycles, with experience in Agile and traditional methodologies.
  • Bottleneck Analysis: Capability to analyze workflows and identify bottlenecks to enhance team performance.
  • Effective Communication: Proficient in articulating the impacts and benefits of processes and programs to stakeholders.
  • Material Development: Experience in creating clear and organized communication materials for diverse audiences.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Skilled in utilizing data analysis and visualization tools to inform strategic decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience in collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, and other cross-functional team members to drive project execution.
