Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to provide front office support in clinical areas, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our patients and healthcare team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet, acknowledge, and provide closure to all customer needs in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication and interact appropriately and professionally with all members of the healthcare team.
  • Check-in/Check-out Process: Check patients in and out following standard operating processes, including management of samples, notes, forms, scripts, directing patients, and triage sheets.
  • Scheduling: Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule all patient appointments, including office, outpatient procedures, hospitals, and other medical facilities.
  • Phone Management: Answer incoming calls and take necessary action.
  • Provider Scheduling: Maintain provider schedules as directed by manager.
  • On-call Schedule: Maintain physician on-call schedule for department.
  • Log Keeping: Keep logs as required by Manager.
  • Meetings: Attend department and other meetings as required by Manager, including training and re-education.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of office supplies and order as needed.
  • Mail Management: Open and sort mail.
  • Patient Referral: Direct patients to contact Central Business Office for additional billing inquiries.
  • Additional Duties: Assist Manager with other duties deemed necessary to achieve efficiency and a cohesive working environment.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Medical Office Administration, BLS/CPR Certified.
