Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Coordinator. In this role, you will work collaboratively with healthcare providers to assess, plan, and provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume overall responsibility for patient flow within the office setting
  • Obtain all outside medical records and test results from referring physicians
  • Review patient schedules with physicians and plan for clinical days
  • Ensure that patients have follow-up testing and appointments with physicians
  • Develop working relationships with referring physicians
  • Record patient interviews, histories, and chief complaints
  • Perform routine EKGs and document accordingly
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments with knowledge of purpose and adverse effects
  • Provide patient education on office policies, medications, disease management, home treatments, and special diets
  • Assist physicians with exams and minor office surgery
  • Maintain supplies, equipment, and sterilize instruments
  • Record accurate refrigerator temperature logs and perform spore testing on autoclaves
  • Dispose of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards
  • Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times
Requirements
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience preferred, with a strong working knowledge of current medications, dosing information, and prescribing requirements
  • Ability to obtain an accurate set of vitals and perform routine EKGs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
