Reporting Structure: Reports to the Associate VP of Instruction

Overview:
The Olympic College Corrections Education program is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for individuals within the correctional system. This program focuses on enhancing the learning experience for those incarcerated, ensuring they have access to essential educational resources.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Program Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and support tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Assisting students in navigating educational resources and tools.
2. Responding to inquiries regarding Olympic College programs.
3. Directing students to appropriate personnel for academic advising and support.
4. Conducting outreach efforts to increase program enrollment.
5. Maintaining accurate student records within the management systems.
6. Organizing and overseeing testing sessions, including GED and placement tests.
7. Collaborating with faculty and staff to support educational initiatives.
8. Managing inventory of educational materials and resources.
9. Ensuring new staff and faculty receive necessary system access and onboarding support.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an office environment.
- A commitment to working positively with incarcerated individuals.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with justice-involved populations.
- Familiarity with management systems used in educational settings.

Employment Terms:
This is a full-time classified position, requiring 40 hours of work per week. The salary range is $42,444 - $56,676, with a structured pay increase following a probationary period.
