The Wasserstrom Company stands as a premier Food Service Distributor in the nation, with a legacy dating back to 1902. We are a family-owned enterprise based in Columbus, Ohio, currently seeking to appoint an Account Manager for our Hospitality Division.

This position entails overseeing sales operations, from identifying leads to finalizing agreements, specifically within the Northern Texas territory for our growing clientele. The Account Manager will implement a structured sales approach that aligns with The Wasserstrom Company's mission to enhance our footprint in the target markets of our customers. Effective collaboration with sales and support teams is crucial to ensure client satisfaction and drive revenue growth, in accordance with the company's vision and core principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a bridge between local, regional, and national buyers in a competitive landscape.
  • Exhibiting the capability to understand and propose a customized distribution strategy that meets the client's goals.
  • Possessing comprehensive product knowledge and the ability to investigate non-food service related items (e.g., décor, merchandising, marketing, and signage materials).
  • Demonstrating a readiness to learn about and adapt to the client's organizational culture.
  • Managing a diverse range of over 5000 different SKUs across multiple regions and departments, with an understanding of lead times and inventory requirements.
  • Being responsive to daily client needs and capable of managing physically demanding check-ins.

Qualifications:

  • A preference for a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated success in sales.
  • Familiarity with the principles and techniques of showcasing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategies, product demonstrations, sales methodologies, and control systems.
  • An understanding of customer service principles and processes, including assessing client needs, maintaining service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction levels.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; intermediate to advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Desirable knowledge and experience in the Hospitality sector.
