Position Overview

The VP of Finance will deliver comprehensive financial guidance to the Group Leadership Team, particularly to the US Chief Commercial Officer, the Deputy Group CFO, and the Group CFO. This role is essential for providing timely, effective, and efficient financial insights to key stakeholders, facilitating the monitoring of financial performance, and assisting in the provision of financial and commercial data for informed business decision-making. Collaboration on significant projects, including business development, operational efficiency, external mergers and acquisitions, and new product introductions, will be a key focus. This position will report directly to the Deputy Group CFO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial functions for the US division, encompassing reporting, accounting, taxation, treasury, and strategic business planning.
  • Play a pivotal role in defining and executing business strategies, including supporting business development initiatives.
  • Deliver timely and precise financial information to business partners.
  • Enhance the operational efficiency of US operations, addressing all financial aspects of contracts, pricing, and market access.
  • Provide expert accounting insights into commercial agreements, ensuring thorough consideration of both financial and accounting factors, in collaboration with Group Finance.
  • Lead a team of finance professionals based in the US, with plans for future growth.
  • Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in all interactions and ensure quality in all deliverables.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and professional advisory firms.
  • Perform additional reasonable tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications for Success

Education and Experience

Essential:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • At least 15 years of finance experience, including a role as Regional Controller, with expertise in both Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Experience in an international group setting, with a comfort level in remote management and working across various time zones
  • Background in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Extensive experience in planning and forecasting
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in private equity-backed organizations
  • Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions, including post-acquisition integration and due diligence
  • Experience with ERP system migrations
