Position Overview

The Vice President of Surgical Services plays a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership within the organization, directly reporting to the Senior Vice President of Perioperative Services. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of critical departments including operating rooms, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Overnight Recovery Unit, Pre-Admission Testing, and Sterile Processing.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be accountable for:

  • Developing and implementing effective operational processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintaining financial integrity while ensuring the delivery of high-quality surgical services.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to initiate and promote projects aimed at increasing surgical volume.
  • Partnering with surgical administrators to optimize service delivery.
Qualifications

Education:
Master's Degree in Business or Health Care Administration (Required)

Experience:
Minimum of 7 years in a healthcare management role with a focus on perioperative services (Required)
Experience in leading integrated surgical service lines with complex reporting structures (Required)
Preferred experience in an academic medical center and labor relations.
