Key Responsibilities:
- Lead valuation and appraisal projects for corporate clients, REITs, pension funds, and financial institutions, focusing on financial reporting, acquisition accounting, and lending.
- Oversee the daily operations of the real estate team, including Senior Associates and Analysts. This includes defining project scopes, reviewing deliverables, signing off on valuation reports, and providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.
- Engage with clients to nurture and develop both new and existing relationships.
- Demonstrate proficiency in discounted cash flow analysis (using Argus and MS Excel), Sales Comparison Approach, Cost Approach, and Highest & Best Use methodologies.
- Independently collect relevant data through direct client interactions, including interviews with Brokers and Property Managers.
- Analyze industry surveys, benchmarks, and economic trends to inform decision-making.
- Assist in preparing and presenting analytical findings in a clear and professional manner.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management (with a focus on Finance or Real Estate), or an advanced degree such as an MS in Finance, MS in Real Estate, or MBA from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Real Estate Valuation or Consulting.
- Possession of a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license.
- Progress towards or active MAI Designation is preferred.
- Experience at a managerial level in a Big 4 or large national firm, particularly in real estate valuation and consulting, is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, comprehension, and problem-solving abilities, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Proven leadership capabilities and a commitment to integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
