POSITION SUMMARY:
The Alfond Youth and Community Center secures substantial funding through various grants annually.

We serve over 400 youth in our afterschool initiatives and have more than 10,000 members utilizing our facilities.

A significant portion of our programs is financed through these grants.

We are seeking an individual to lead our dedicated grants team as the Grants Administration Manager. This role involves grant writing and overseeing the entire grant management process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop and implement a strategic approach to acquiring and sustaining grant sources that support the operational needs of the AYCC.

Responsibilities encompass the complete lifecycle of grant management, including:

research, writing, editing, proofreading, budget formulation, coordination of contract documentation and renewals, evaluation and reporting of all grant initiatives (in collaboration with Finance and program staff), ensuring the proper utilization of grant funds.

Ensure grant objectives are achieved by preparing grant applications and managing all facets of grant awards.
Regularly fulfill grant application requirements and meet targets for securing grant funding.

Identify priority needs for the organization with guidance from the Director of Philanthropy & Government Relations and other relevant personnel.

Research suitable grant opportunities for the organization.
Collaborate with Program Directors and Finance to create and finalize grant budgets.
Develop methodologies and implementation plans to monitor program data, including outcomes. Maintain the integrity of grant awards by ensuring compliance with grant stipulations. Work alongside Program Directors/Managers to guarantee that program reports are clear, concise, and submitted punctually. Identify and cultivate relationships with major foundations, corporations, and other funding sources. Formulate and execute both short- and long-term grant strategies.
Assist in developing and maintaining public relations efforts to promote and enhance membership within the Clubs.

Support any special events or programs organized by the Alfond Youth & Community Center, particularly major donor events and fundraising activities.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:
CERTIFICATION:
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

Working knowledge of MS Office
EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in grant writing and/or grants management is preferred.

Prior experience in team management is strongly preferred.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time, Monday through Friday.
  • Some evenings or weekends may be required.
SALARY: $44,500-$51,843 per year
