Job Summary

The Alfond Youth and Community Center is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Welcome Center Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Welcome Center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing membership registrations and renewals, and maintaining a positive and welcoming environment for our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and Assist Members and Guests: Provide a warm and welcoming experience for all visitors, answering questions and providing accurate information about our programs and services.
  • Process Membership Transactions: Process membership registrations, renewals, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage Facility Access: Verify active membership and monitor facility access to ensure a safe and secure environment for all members and guests.
  • Provide Facility Tours: Offer guided tours of our facilities to prospective members, donors, and other guests.
  • Control Lobby Areas: Maintain a clean and organized lobby area, providing assistance to patrons and directing children as needed.
  • Monitor Security Cameras: Monitor security cameras for any unusual behaviors or activities and assist in emergency situations.
  • Process Payments and Reconcile Cash: Process payments, make change, and reconcile cash, checks, and credit card swipes to sales reports at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain Facility Schedules and Registration Information: Update and maintain current facility schedules and registration information for pools, classes, and other programs.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: File paperwork, perform data entry, and complete other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a membership-based organization.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite and computer software programs, with knowledge of data systems and reporting.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people, including children and adults.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
