Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Alfond Youth and Community Center is dedicated to securing substantial funding through grants to support our various programs. With a commitment to serving over 400 youth in our afterschool initiatives and providing resources to more than 10,000 members, we recognize the critical role that grants play in our operations. We are seeking a skilled individual to lead our grants team as the Grants Manager. This role involves writing and managing grants throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring that our mission positively impacts the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for acquiring and maintaining grant funding to support AYCC's program operations.
  • Oversee the complete grant management process, including research, writing, editing, budget preparation, and evaluation, ensuring compliance with all grant requirements.
  • Write grant applications and manage all aspects of grant awards to meet established goals.
  • Regularly complete grant application requirements and work towards achieving funding targets.
  • Identify priority needs for the organization in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy & Government Relations and relevant staff.
  • Research and identify suitable grant opportunities for the organization.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors and Finance to create and finalize grant budgets.
  • Establish methodologies and plans to track program data and outcomes effectively.
  • Ensure the integrity of grant funding by adhering to all grant requirements.
  • Work with Program Directors/Managers to ensure timely and clear submission of program reports.
  • Build and maintain relationships with major foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.
  • Develop and execute both short-term and long-term grant strategies.
  • Assist in public relations efforts to promote and stimulate membership within the Clubs.
  • Support special events and programs at the Alfond Youth & Community Center, particularly major donor events and fundraising initiatives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Preferred experience in grant writing and/or grants management.
  • Prior experience in team management is strongly preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or evening commitments.
