Key Responsibilities
- Oversee safety, security, and health initiatives in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with team members and management to ensure effective implementation of safety protocols.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures regarding employment, compensation, onboarding, and training. Evaluate policy effectiveness and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Manage the compensation and benefits framework for all staff, ensuring timely updates and communication regarding program changes.
- Facilitate labor relations to safeguard the organization's interests while enhancing the employer-employee dynamic. Work closely with legal counsel and specialists to ensure policy adherence in unionized environments.
- Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and engagement with the workforce. Regular interaction on the production floor is essential for building strong relationships.
- Provide support, guidance, and resources for employee development and training.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies. Develop and maintain Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action programs.
- Establish and uphold security protocols to meet industry standards and customer audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and documentation.
- Engage in corporate HR initiatives and serve as a resource for HR professionals across the organization.
- Design and implement employee training programs to meet regulatory compliance.
- Supervise the HR team, offering leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
- Extensive HR experience within a manufacturing context, with a solid understanding of policy application.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams. Proven team-building and organizational capabilities are essential.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma.
- Proficient in data analysis and research to support informed decision-making.
