  • Provide backend technical support (consultation, troubleshooting, and documentation) on servers, services, and storage to frontline personnel within IT Services and the organization at large.
  • Plan and execute system/service upgrades and maintenance to ensure operational continuity while adhering to established change management processes.
  • Engage in the planning, design, implementation, and administration of new enterprise IT systems, which may include physical and virtual servers, network storage solutions, cloud services, applications, databases, backups, and associated account and directory services.
  • Coordinate server and application architectures with the Change Advisory Board and Information Security, regularly reviewing processes, procedures, vulnerabilities, and security events.
  • Maintain and monitor the organization's data centers, including systems lifecycle management, power and cooling requirements, and physical access; provide high-level technical support as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain documented procedures for system and service administration.
  • Availability for on-call duties outside of standard business hours is required.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned; duties and responsibilities may evolve over time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating system support.
  • Proficiency in managing both Windows and/or Unix/Linux server operating systems in an enterprise context.
  • Experience with Hyper-Converged Infrastructures and server virtualization.
  • Strong communication skills across various contexts, with a commitment to teamwork and information sharing.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in information systems services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with a high level of motivation and initiative.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills for diverse technical audiences.
  • Valid driver's license required, adhering to the organization's Fleet Safety Policy.
  • Preferred qualifications include:
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, Microsoft SQL, and MySQL databases.
    • Skills in managing application authentication and access with an IAM platform.
    • Experience with shared storage and distributed file systems.
    • Knowledge of web server administration, including Apache, PHP, and IIS.
    • Experience with cloud services and integration between private and public cloud resources.
    • Management of Google Workspace users, groups, and applications.
    • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM administration.
    • Understanding of systems and network security, including firewalls and vulnerability assessments.
    • Familiarity with scripting and programming languages, as well as data networking concepts.
