Donor Engagement Specialist

The Colby College is seeking a highly skilled Donor Experience Officer to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to build lasting relationships with donors and create meaningful experiences through engaging communications and one-on-one interactions.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve annual fundraising and engagement goals by actively building relationships with a portfolio of prospects and donors.
- Leverage technology to build rapport, steward, and solicit donors in a personalized and donor-centric manner.
- Utilize dashboard tools, leverage data analytics, and partner with internal colleagues to identify donors for targeted outreach.
- Participate in outreach and follow-up for events and activities on behalf of Advancement.
- Be knowledgeable of engagement and philanthropic opportunities across Colby for the purpose of informing conversations and solicitations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of customer care.
- Organizational and time management skills are essential.
- Previous fundraising experience with demonstrated success in making direct solicitations and an understanding of the moves management process.
- Professional conduct and appropriate handling of confidential information is required.
- Willingness to travel and to work hours outside the normal working day.
The Donor Experience Officer will have direct contact with various members of the Division of College Advancement, College Administration, and alumni. The position involves sitting, although frequent movement is necessary. Computer usage involving repetitive hand/wrist motion is also necessary. Ability to move around campus and interact with faculty, staff, students, parents/alumni, and external constituencies regularly is crucial.
