Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Alfond Youth and Community Center secures substantial funding through various grants annually. Serving over 400 youth in our afterschool initiatives and catering to more than 10,000 members, many of our programs are supported by these grants. We are seeking a dedicated individual to spearhead our dynamic grants team as the Grants Manager. This role involves writing grant proposals and overseeing the entire grant management process. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a structured strategy for acquiring and maintaining grant funding to support AYCC's program operations.
  • Manage the complete grant management lifecycle, which includes research, writing, editing, proofreading, budget preparation, coordination of contracts, evaluation, and reporting of all grant initiatives, ensuring compliance with financial standards.
  • Ensure achievement of grant objectives by crafting grant applications and overseeing all aspects of grant funding.
  • Regularly fulfill grant application requirements and achieve targets for securing grant awards.
  • Identify priority needs for the organization in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy & Government Relations and relevant staff.
  • Research suitable grant opportunities for the organization.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors and Finance to create and finalize grant budgets.
  • Establish a methodology and implementation plan to monitor program data and outcomes.
  • Maintain the integrity of grant funding by ensuring compliance with grant stipulations.
  • Work with Program Directors/Managers to ensure clarity and timeliness in program reporting.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with major foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.
  • Develop and implement both short- and long-term grant strategies.
  • Assist in public relations efforts to promote and enhance membership within the Clubs.
  • Support special events or programs at the Alfond Youth & Community Center, particularly major donor events and fundraising initiatives.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or evening commitments.
