Position Overview

At National Jewish Health, we believe in the power of compassionate care. We are currently looking for a Customer Care Appointment Coordinator to become an integral part of our Patient Access team. This role is crucial as it serves as the initial point of contact for patients embarking on their healthcare journey. Our Customer Care Appointment Coordinators work closely with clinic personnel and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Customer Care Appointment Coordinator will be responsible for:

  1. Delivering exceptional service to patients, colleagues, physicians, and clinical staff.
  2. Accurately scheduling appointments for new patients across various departments.
  3. Gathering and updating essential patient information, including demographics and insurance details.
  4. Maintaining accurate records in our computer systems regarding patient data and appointments.
  5. Ensuring that the appropriate clinic has the necessary patient information related to their concerns.
  6. Keeping patients informed about their appointment status and managing their schedules effectively.
  7. Collaborating with Admissions, Financial Counseling, and Utilization Management to facilitate successful patient visits.
  8. Coordinating with clinicians to ensure precise appointment scheduling.
  9. Staying informed about NJH clinical operations, insurance protocols, and relevant medical terminology.

Qualifications

  1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Experience: A minimum of one year in customer service is required; experience in patient scheduling or healthcare call centers is preferred.
  3. Language Skills: Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position starts at $21.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00/hour for bilingual candidates. National Jewish Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
