Key Responsibilities
The Customer Care Representative for Appointment Scheduling will:
- Deliver exceptional service to patients, colleagues, physicians, and clinical staff.
- Accurately schedule new patient appointments for physicians and ancillary services.
- Gather and update essential patient demographic, insurance, and clinical data.
- Ensure all patient information is accurately recorded in our systems.
- Maintain effective communication with patients regarding their appointment status.
- Coordinate with Admissions, Financial Counseling, and Utilization Management as needed.
- Work with clinicians to ensure accurate appointment scheduling.
- Stay informed about NJH clinical operations, insurance protocols, and medical terminology.
- Accountability: Take ownership of responsibilities and contribute positively to team goals.
- Adaptability: Adjust effectively to changes in work responsibilities and environments.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure thoroughness in all tasks and maintain high performance standards.
- Customer Focus: Prioritize the needs and perspectives of customers in all decisions.
- Decision Making: Analyze information to make informed choices and develop effective solutions.
- Communication: Clearly convey information to engage and inform others.
- Team Collaboration: Foster positive interactions and support colleagues in achieving shared goals.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year in customer service; experience in patient scheduling or healthcare call centers is preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish, are highly desirable.
The salary for this position starts at $21.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00/hour for bilingual candidates. National Jewish Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
