Key Responsibilities- Scheduling Patient Appointments: Schedule new patient appointments using symptoms and clinical information collected, ensuring timely and accurate scheduling.
- Collecting Patient Information: Collect all necessary patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information, and update changes as needed.
- Communicating with Patients and Staff: Maintain effective communication with patients, clinicians, and departments to ensure scheduling is performed with the highest level of customer service.
- Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution: Act as a problem solver with patients, clinicians, and departments to resolve scheduling issues and ensure continuity of appointments.
- Knowledge and Expertise: Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding NJH clinical operations, insurance procedures, and clinical terminology and coding practices.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred; Associates degree in business, nursing, or healthcare administration preferred.
- Work Experience: A minimum of two (2) or more years of recent and related experience in a healthcare or customer service environment required.
